LINK Centre commenced operation on 30th October 2014
A support service centre for ethnic minorities in Kwai Tsing District operating under a funding grant from the Home Affairs Department (HAD) called LINK Centre formally commenced operation on 30th October 2014.
LINK Centre provides comprehensive support services for ethnic minorities with a view to further facilitate their early integration into the community. The facilities in LINK Centre include Social information booth, Activity room, Class room, Learning & Entertainment Corner/Library, Internet corner, and some game equipment is also provided in Youth Activity Room for youth.
The support services provided by LINK Centre include Cantonese and English language classes, after-school tutorial classes, dedicated programmes for ethnic minority youths, visit and outing programmes, interest classes, counselling and social activities.
Our centre will also provide other services to assist ethnic minorities in accessing public services, including Internet access and distribution of multilingual service guidebooks and leaflets on services provided by the government and non-profit-making organisations (NPOs).
On the opening day, we held a Halloween Party for the students and children who live in the Kwai Tsing District, and a Health Care Day for women to have body checkup such as blood pressure, monitoring heartbeat, weight and height measurements, a talk on personal health.
LINK centre is located at Shop B-E, G/F, Cheong Nin Building, 1013 Kwai Chung Road, Kwai Chung, with a floor area of around 400 square metres. Except for public holidays, the centre is open six days a week (including Sundays) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m and closed on Mondays.
