The 6th Cantonese Competition for Ethnic Minorities in Hong Kong

The 6th Cantonese Competition for Ethnic Minorities in Hong Kong is organized by LINK Centre, which is operated by The Hong Kong Community Network and sponsored by the Home Affairs Department of Hong Kong. The aim of this event is to encourage Ethnic Minorities to show their talents on cantonese speaking Cantonese and to facilitate their integration into the Hong Kong Community. We would also like to take this chance to promote social harmony.

Objectives

  • To enhance ethnic minorities motivation, interest, and confidence in learning Chinese.
  • To raise the public awareness on the talents and capability of

ethnic minorities.

  • To promote social acceptance and social harmony.

Eligibility


The Competition is open to all ethnic minorities (Non-Chinese residents) who are holders of HKID card.

 

Categories

  • Primary School (Individual / Group with 2 – 4 members)
  • Secondary School (Individual / Group with 2 – 4 members)
  • Public (Individual / Group with 2 – 4 members)

 

Format


A 3-5 mins presentation with one chosen format:

  • Storytelling
  • Drama
  • Speech

Topic

  • 我眼中的香港 (Hong Kong in My Eyes)
  • 一次難忘的經歷 (An Unforgettable Experience)
  • 寓言故事(Fable Stories)

  • Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up
  • Winners will receive book vouchers and trophies. Medals will be awarded to group winners only.
